Been a while...

We haven't posted anything in quite a while. Mainly because we got a new website (keyholephoto.smugmug.com) and the blog became a bit obsolete. I thought I would throw up a few of my (dan) newer work. These are mostly just fun projects and are not too serious. Some were for assignments in school.

Wonderful Wedding...

Today, we were so lucky that Menolli and Brian wanted to drive all the way out to the salt flats to remember their special day. It was a treat to say the least. Beccah has been dying to go do a shoot out there... and the conditions were perfect! Needless to say, there were so many good shots to choose from!

Thanks for letting us take your pictures guys! We hope you're as happy with them as we are!

Grandkids

A summer afternoon at the park with Dan's family turned into a casual, yet crazy photo shoot. Beccah took these pictures with her film camera. Needless to say, getting everyone to look at the same place and to be happy about it wasn't as easy as we all thought. Finally, we realized the only way to win was to divide and conquer. Taking pictures of small groups and individuals gave a much more desired effect. Live and learn!

I wanted a chance to post some of the pictures that I took a while ago. These are all from a few photoshoots that I did about 2 months ago.

These were taken by Beccah, using good ol' black and white film. Film is a bit more pricey these days, especially when you develop your own film and prints. But it's still Beccah's favorite ways to shoot, especially since she doesn't do it very often anymore. Something about being a part of the process from the first shutter click to the last picture hung on the line to dry in the dark room... just feels so gratifying.

Enough talk about that, the subject matter is what everyone really cares about! This is Dan and his precious baby Sonya. She was his first love (as far as guitars are concerned) this red hot lady will always hold a special place in his heart (or at least a special place hanging on the wall).
